IPTV UI/UX Design
In my 4 years journey of IPTV UI&UX Design, I participated in different layouts for luxury hotel groups in Asia-Pacific Region (APAC). There are horizontal, verticle, and adaptive approaches for different pages.
Examples below are the UI design for Shangri-La Hotel in Hong Kong.
Challenge: It is a complex design mixed with grid in content and horizontal menu bar. However, to align with the brand guideline, user guide is not allowed.
Solution: Limited the number of pages that user could click in. To prevent the end user getting lost, the remote control printed with back button.
The second example is about the UI design for Carlton Hotel in Singapore.
Challenge: For the homepage, it needed to be careful with the adaptive grid design.
We have to calculate the width and height for each boxes, in order to make sure there is no empty space or gap shown.
Solution: Use a simple method at the backend content management system. We have to think about how the user to input and easier to understand the logic for the end user training.
For all the UI designs, I have to consider the UX design specifically for each hotel. Each design is unique. To let the end user easier to understand, I have to complete the prototype on Figma, Adobe XD or zeplin for all parties to complete the UI & UX design.
